2015 Governors Blue Ribbon Livestock Auction Winners
(West Allis): The winners of the 2015 Governor’s Blue Ribbon Livestock Auction Scholarships have been announced. The Foundation awarded two $2000 scholarship, three $1500 scholarship, three $1000 scholarships and seven $500 scholarships. Governor Scott Walker presented the scholarship recipients with a certificate of recognition during the Governor’s Auction at the Wisconsin State Fair.
This year’s top scholarships were awarded to Deanna Zernicke, Bonduel and Damin Hadorn-Papke, Eau Claire. The $1500 scholarships were presented to Morgan Henriott, Elkhorn, Sarah Lillesand, Sheboygan Falls and Ashley Zimmerman, Spencer. The $1000 winners are Kori Beisbier, Reedsburg, Lindsey Coddington, Montello and Aubrey Doherty, Johnson Creek. The seven $500 scholarship recipients are Brodie Abney, South Wayne, Bradley Calkins, Sun Prairie, Justin Earll, Hortonville, Tyler Endres, Lodi, Shelby Grinnell, Sharon, Mikailah Lindberg, Whitehall and Ross Siegenthaler, Mineral Point .
Given on an annual basis, the recipients are recognized for their leadership skills, academic achievements, accomplishments as Wisconsin State Fair Junior Livestock exhibitors and potential as future contributors to the livestock industry. The awards are used to assist them with their educational expenses.
The Blue Ribbon Sale of Champions Foundation manages the Governor’s Blue Ribbon Livestock Auction to provide a platform for enhancing and strengthening the agriculture community of Wisconsin, and to foster better understanding of the agriculture industry throughout our society.
